Students must be currently enrolled to have carrel privileges and must be living in the area. If your status changes during the year to withdrawn, on leave, terminated, or ETDCC your carrel privileges will be revoked. If you will be a senior on leave for the Fall Semester but will be returning for the Spring Semester and would like a carrel at that time, please check here.
Choice of Carrel Mate(s) – In order to be placed with a specific carrel mate, both you and your carrel mate must name each other in your applications. If you list someone as your carrel mate on your application and that person does not list you on their application, you will not be placed together. If you do not list a specific carrel mate, it is assumed that you will share a carrel with whomever is assigned.

Do not list more than one name as a carrel mate unless you are applying for one of the multi person carrels on B-Floor.
Carrels are assigned according to eligible department, application date, and applicant’s status. First priority will be given to faculty, seniors, and graduate students in their final year. You will be notified by email when your carrel is assigned. After you receive notification, it is very important that you come to the Access Office to sign the paperwork and pick up either your carrel combination or key by the date specified in the notification. Carrels not picked up by the date specified, will be reassigned. In addition, carrels which do not show signs of use, will be reassigned.
