Some databases and indexes (Art Index, Proquest Direct, Readers' Guide
Full Text etc.) will provide full-text of articles. The
E-Journals page lists journals for which the full text is available
on line.
JSTOR provides the full text
of several important art, archaeology, and architectural history journals, such as the American Journal of Archaeology, Art Bulletin, Art Journal, Burlington Magazine, October, and the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals
Indexes journal articles published worldwide on architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation. Coverage is from the 1930s (with selective coverage dating back to the 1860s) to the present.
Grove Art Online
Provides online access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art (1996, 34 vols.) with annual additions of new material and updates to the text, plus extensive image links.
ArtBibliographies Modern
Provides full abstracts of journal articles, books, essays, exhibition catalogs, PhD dissertations, and exhibition reviews on all forms of modern and contemporary art, with approximately 12-13,000 new entries being added each year. Entries date back as far as the late 1960s.

Database of Articles and Images from the National Palace Museum
Indexes articles and images from periodicals published by China's National Palace Museum. Database is in English and Chinese.
Design and Applied Arts Index
Indexes over 500 design and craft journals and newspapers published from 1973 onwards, and includes data on over 50,000 designers, craftspeople, studios, workshops, firms etc.
Dyabola
Contains electronic subject catalogs of publications on the history of art and the ancient world, including the subject catalogs of the German Archaeological Institute in Rome, the Bibliography of Iberian Archaeology from the German Archaeological Institute in Madrid, and the Archaeology of Roman Provinces from RGK Frankfurt.
Index Islamicus
Indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. Over 2,000 journals are monitored for inclusion in the database, together with conference proceedings, monographs, multi-authored works and book reviews.

Resource for classics that analyzes 1,500 periodicals each year, as well as 500 articles in collections and conference papers. Records are classified in a two-parts system: Ancient authors and texts, Subjects and disciplines.
Byzantinische Zeitschrift
Covers the history and archaeology of Byzantium. Available on library web computers only.
Getty Provenance Index Database
Contains three separate databases for provenance research: archival documents from 1550-1840, auction catalogs from 1650-1840, and public art collections from 1500-1990.
Kondansha Encyclopedia of Japan
Comprehensive, searchable encyclopedia with data on Japanese politics, government, economics, art, culture, and history. Site in English.
Perseus Digital Library
Contains primary source material (both text and images) in the humanities. Particularly strong in classics.
