Dictionary of Art Historians is a biographical dictionary of historians, museum directors and scholars of art put out by the Art Library at Duke University.
Encyclopedia of Islam, a resource for the history and culture of Islam, is available only through library web computers in Firestone Library, Marquand Library and Near East, Hellenic Graduate Study Room.
Grove Dictionary of Art Online The Dictionary of Art is available from all Princeton networked computers. The Grove Dictionary of Art Online provides Web access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art. The material is regularly updated, and image links are included. The printed version is available in Marquand Library.
Handbook of Latin American Studies is available via the Web. The HLAS is an annotated bibliography of scholarly works on Latin America. The bibliography covers the Humanities and the Social Sciences, and includes books, journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers.
International Medieval Bibliography The IMB database contains records deriving from articles published in periodicals and in miscellany volumes (conference proceedings, collected essays, Festschriften and exhibition catalogues) published world-wide. All subjects relating to the Middle Ages are included, within the date range 400-1500 AD. Geographical areas covered are Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
Kodansha Encyclopedia of Japan is available from all Princeton networked computers. The resource is a dictionary of Japanese culture, arts, politics and history. While the encyclopedia does not contain images or bibliography it does contain biographical information on individual artists, and is useful for defining terms and beginning research.

Perseus Digital Library is available via the Web. The library contains a wide range of primary source material and is especially useful for the study of classical antiquity and archaeology.
