Firestone C -Floor Computer Cluster
Purpose:
This computer cluster has been set up primarily for the use of patrons,
but it can also be scheduled for instructional sessions that require participants
to have hands-on experience. It can be reserved for use by all Princeton
University Library staff.
This is an open area and is therefore not appropriate for programs where
confidentiality is an issue. There are noisy ventilation ducts which
require the instructor to raise his/her voice, potentially disturbing nearby
library patrons.
This area is therefore suitable mostly for smaller groups of 4-8, using
one side of the cluster and doubling up on workstations if necessary.
Equipment:
-
eight NT workstations in public access mode
Responsibilities of Trainers:
- Place "Reserved" signs on the workstations one half hour before beginning
of session.
-
Avoid disturbing nearby library patrons.
-
Return workstations to Library Home Page when done.
-
Remove workstation reservation signs when done.
Scheduling:
Check the online Schedule
of Room Reservations. Then use the online Room
Reservation Form.
